  Awesome. Something about the sentence structure... I can't read it without Rod Serling narrating it word for word in my head. [edit] ... I just realized it's that it's in second person present... and that's so rare in English prose, he's the only narrator I associate with it.

  Funny place to revert to - not so far back that you lose the memory of your wife-to-be, but far enough back to lose the entirety of that life together.

  Maybe preserving some of that memory, without preserving so much it becomes too devastating?

  Great story. The title got me thinking af the song "Hall of Mirrors" by Kraftwerk. Funny to read the lyrics of that song in the context of the story.
