Ask HN: For those who work from home, when do you wake up?

When do you go to sleep and when do you wake up? Have you found a schedule that keeps you productive without the structure of an office place? Particularly interested in responses from night owls and how they've balanced their newfound freedom with productivity.

When I started I used to get up early but over time it slipped to later and later. Now my days have flipped. I mostly work at night and sleep in the mornings. So my day ends about 3 or 4 in the morning and I get up between 11 and noon. I used to think that working from home would be great but I've found that it's too easy to lose basic disciplines like getting up early. Long term it is mostly bad for life and my career. I now advocate a mix of office and home work life. 100% at home is bad and 100% in the office is bad.

At least an hour later than when I was getting up to commute into the office. And that still leaves me more time for a morning routine before I start work. I don't stay up much later than I typically did, I'm not that much of a late night person any more.
