I'm sorry to say but there's a lot of grifting going on here. A lot of people in Afg (and other developing countries) want visas for economic reasons (they actually pay thousands of dollars to be smuggled). I would be very careful with giving any of your money. There hasn't been any confirmed cases of retribution and a lot of media is exaggerating the situation.
