I got burned by a bunch of bugs in Vagrant years ago that were easy to fix, but HashiCorp just neglected the project completely. I was using multiple awful workarounds.

After that experience, they just felt like the Google of infra products, and I decided never to use them again.

I'm not sure if things have changed or not, but for something as vital as infra, I just need something that has excellent support, probably by a large company if we're being honest.

While I agree, it's fascinating that they lead with the two technologies that everyone already forgot two years ago.

Personally, I'm fantasizing about building a community project that would build easy to start Hashicorp stack clusters.
