Ask HN: FDA/BRCGS approval timelines for packaging materials

Hi all, would anybody happen to know FDA or BRCGS approval timelines around Packaging and Food Contact Substances? We got a question on our YC 21 application around regulatory stringencies and timelines, would be grateful to anyone who has a take on it. Much obliged!

    I have a friend who is a freelance chemist.

    He handles similar issues by finding an experienced consultant via LinkedIn. The regulatory environment is nuanced where the choice between two similar sounding words is often the difference between acceptable and raising additional questions.

    Or to put it another way, you don't know and that's the only honest answer.

    The execution is all in how you deal with not knowing.
