Edit: DTC = "Direct to Consumer" which refers to companies that only sell their own brand, usually on Shopify or Big Commerce stores. The most well-known are probably Allbirds, Casper, Away, and Glossier.

I built this over the holidays and have been iterating on it each weekend. Finally feel like it's worth sharing here and getting some feedback.

Backstory: last year my Amazon account got compromised. After multiple emails and phone calls, Amazon closed my account TO ME but couldn't stop the random orders, fake reviews, questions, etc. My new years resolution for 2021 is to not buy anything on amazon for the entire year.

I started keeping a spreadsheet of DTC brands I like. Over the holidays someone on Twitter suggested a "StumbleUpon for ecommerce" and that became the impetus to turn my spreadsheet into Shiny.

    Feedback welcome.

Stack: Rails, PG, Redis, TailwindCSS, and a couple APIs for screenshots and images.

Also, any advice welcome on getting my Amazon account back (purely so I can access/transfer all my Kindle books).

This makes more sense when you realize that DTC = Direct To Consumer.
