That's some straight talk! :-) It does seem valid on its face though. There were some really interesting points in the article.
I really like that this research is being done. Lately I've spoken to several people who tell me they are in zoom calls 6-8 hours a day, and they seem way, way more exhausted than pre-COVID. They are taking more time off than usual and calling in from their rental in the mountains, etc. but even so it just doesn't seem like a sustainable situation. Hopefully the tech and protocol can evolve fast enough to bring out the strengths of the tech while working around some of the weaknesses. For example screen sharing is one really clear Zoom call strength that I've seen leveraged, less for presentational purposes than for documenting or stimulating interactive discussion and help/support.
Incidentally, cell phone calls still offer many strengths that speak to a lot of the problems listed in the article...
