Ask HN: What stupid interview tasks have you been asked to do? bonus for refusal

I just read this comment and had a laugh:

        > About a year and half ago I was applying for a software engineering internship at Goldman Sachs and they made me take a Pymetrics test. One of the tasks was to press the spacebar as many times as possible in 30 seconds. I didn't do the task and withdrew my application.
My own stupid task: I gave my friend my CV for a referral to his company. I received a generated email from some third party service requiring that I record videos of myself giving answers to a list of behavioral questions.

I apologised to my friend for wasting his time and never entertained the task. I thought, this company hasn't even reached out to me and they want me to do a little performance for them and hand over that information to some random/separate company. No thanks. My friend thought I was crazy for refusing to do the task.

I’ve been asked a couple of times to submit to a Myers-Brigg “personality profile,” supposedly to see how I will fit in. M-B has as much credibility and scientific basis as an astrological chart. I declined, citing the ADA, and the request was dropped both times. I still got the jobs.
