node-red is a low code framework that lets you hook up blocks together, and you can also implement your own blocks, either as external packages or as functions implemented inline in the editor.

I've recently come across it and discovered that it is apparently used in production by some, but have been mostly unable to find people explaining their non-home automation use case.

Do you use it in prod? What is your use case? Would you still make the choice to use it, having experience with it? What benefits and what compromises did it bring?
