BBC claimed 2 million in one day which seems incorrect (https://www.bbc.com/news/technology-54873800)
It seems like the international market, which explains why we are not understanding why it's happening. What countries are pushing this enormous growth?

Compared to security breaches which will get you free PR and promote growth. Not that the above will help at all with security.
