For better or worse, we are covered inside and outside by organisms that usually just hang out and/or help things along but are ready to digest our tissues as soon as our immune systems stop working. Even if a version of humanity can prevent spread of other infections among the healthy, these ubiquitous lurker organisms will always lie in wait.
