I'm pretty sure these were bought for a Kindle device. I haven't used a Kindle in many years. I inquired about younger relatives but none of them are at the age where they have the ability to type an email address or use apps for pre teen girls.
Anyway, I contacted Amazon and no one was technical enough to have a conversation. They offered to close the account without explanation. Eventually, they sent me a password reset link and I was able to request an account closure.
The account was empty save the apps and a subscription to a newspaper.
Do you think they just allowed an account to be open without email confirmation? Very weird.
