Uploading previously written scripts?

by notaspecialist on 8/3/16, 7:33 AM with 0 comments

At a recent interview, I was asked if I have any code at github - which I never have put online. Looking through a few old folders, I see a hundred or more scripts that I've written for previous roles in many languages. None of these scripts would be in use (so old or once-off's), and don't have anything in them that would be considered confidential.

What do you think about putting these scripts online (i.e.:github)? Good idea? Bad idea?

What about - when would you not do this?

Thanks, let me know your thoughts.

Don't do it. Probably not legal. Just send them privately to the prospective employer.
